Fall Prevention Program
Our Fall Prevention Program was designed by Brian Joyner PT, DPT to assess an individual's level of general fitness, strength, and potential risk of falls. This program begins with a muscle skeletal evaluation which assess strength and range of motion of the upper and lower body. It is followed by a movement analysis that will help further assess the patient’s risk for falls.
The program consists of four different phases and criteria to help rehab patients to a normal life. The initial assessment is used to determine which phase each patient needs to begin with so that they have an individualized plan that suits their specific needs.
The overall goal of this program is to improve the patient’s strength, endurance, and functional abilities to help reduce their risk of falls.
