Megan Robershaw, OTR/L

Regional Director of Therapy

"My name is Megan Robershaw. I am a registered Occupational Therapist as well as Regional Director of Therapy. I have been with Joyner Therapy Services for almost 8 years. I graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2012. I work primarily in the outpatient clinic setting, but also provide care in the home health and long-term care settings. I decided to pursue a career in occupational therapy because I knew I wanted to help people. I wanted to be part of the rehab process to get patients back to their normal, daily lives. Because there are so many different settings we can work in, I knew I would never get bored. I enjoy the variety of diagnoses I get to see at Joyner Therapy, with wrist and elbow being my favorite. I am certified in ASTYM and really enjoy seeing patient results within just a few treatments. I love my job as I get to know the entire person and not just their injury. I know I chose the right professional when I still get excited to go to work and see my patients progress. "

Nicole Scheer, DPT, PT, OCS

Outpatient/Home Health

"My name is Nicole Scheer. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and have worked for Joyner Therapy Services since 2010.  I graduated from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale in 2010 with an Associate in Applied Science Degree, Physical Therapist Assistant, and in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. After working 2 years for JTS, I attended graduate school at the University of Findlay, Ohio, to receive my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2015.  I also received my ASTYM certification in 2016, and passed the Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) exam in 2019.

In 2016, I published my research article: Clin Med Insights Case Rep. 2016 Oct 20;9:95-98.

ASTYM Therapy Improves Bilateral Hamstring Flexibility and Achilles Tendinopathy in A Child with Cerebral Palsy: A Retrospective Case Report. Scheer NA, Alstat LR, Van Zant RS.

I have treated patients of all ages in a variety of clinical areas including post-operative, orthopedics, geriatrics, McKenzie based treatment approach, and balance/vestibular disorders.  I work primarily in the outpatient clinic setting, and also provide care in the home health setting and a skilled nursing facility. I chose physical therapy as a profession due to my desire to help others. This is such a rewarding occupation as I get to know my patients, and assist them in achieving their goals."
