Direct Access

On August 16, 2018, Governor Rauner signed new "Direct Access" legislation into law. Direct access is as simple as it sounds: patients can get direct access to physical & occupational therapy. In short, this means that patients can seek PT & OT without a referral from their physician. The "direct access" law applies to most commercial, state, and federal insurance plans.
